Eagle Legal News has received reports of what is alleged to have been a terrifying armed home invasion and kidnapping involving a family staying at the South Bank Resort in Long Bay earlier this week.
According to information received by this newsroom, the incident is believed to have occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 16, 2026, when two masked men, reportedly armed with firearms, entered one of the villas on the resort property.

The information provided to Eagle Legal News suggests that a family occupying the villa was confronted by the armed men and robbed during the ordeal.
Sources further allege that after entering the villa, the suspects forced the male occupant into a his vehicle and drove him away from the resort.
It is understood that the victim was allegedly taken in his own vehicle, described as a yellow Jeep Wrangler, and driven from the property. Information received by Eagle Legal News suggests the suspects attempted to have him obtain money from several of the automatic teller machines (ATM) across Providenciales.
Accounts details provided to this newsroom, one suspect reportedly left the scene in the vehicle with the male victim while the second suspect remained behind at the villa. It is further alleged that after reaching the vicinity of the Providenciales International Airport, the victim managed to escape from the vehicle and run for safety.
The circumstances surrounding the escape remain unclear, and Eagle Legal News has not been able to independently verify every aspect of the account.
We are also informed that police subsequently recovered the vehicle and were processing it as part of their investigation.
To date, we are not aware of any official statement from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force regarding the incident, nor have we been made aware of any arrests made in connection to this incident.
Prior to publishing this report, Eagle Legal News contacted representatives of South Bank Resort and outlined the information that had been provided to us. A representative indicated that the matter would be reviewed and that a response would be provided.
Several days have since passed, and despite our follow-up efforts, no response had been received from the resort up to the time of publication.
As a result, Eagle Legal News is reporting the information as it has been relayed to this newsroom while making clear that the allegations have not yet been publicly confirmed by either the police or resort management.
