Before departing the Turks and Caicos Islands following a series of official engagements, Her Excellency The Right Honourable Dame Cynthia A. Pratt, O.M., GCMG, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, paid a special visit to Abundant Life Ministries International for its Sunday Celebration Worship Service on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
The visit came at the conclusion of her time in the Turks and Caicos, where she had also participated in the National Prayer Breakfast days earlier. Despite a busy schedule and an impending flight back to Nassau, Dame Cynthia made time to worship with the congregation led by Bishop Coleta Williams 111.
Addressing those gathered, Dame Cynthia explained that she regretted not being able to remain longer because she had to return to The Bahamas, where official duties awaited her. However, before leaving, she offered heartfelt words of encouragement to Bishop Williams and the congregation.
“Bishop, God bless you and the work that you’re doing—continue to lift up the blood stain banner of Jesus. Stand out for what is right, even if you have to stand alone.”
She spoke candidly about the responsibilities that come with leadership, acknowledging that positions of public service often involve difficult decisions and constant guidance. Her remarks encouraged believers to remain steadfast in their faith, maintain integrity, and continue standing for biblical principles regardless of opposition.
Following the service, Bishop Coleta Williams presented Dame Cynthia and members of her delegation with commemorative gifts as tokens of appreciation for their visit. Those accompanying Her Excellency included members of her family and official delegation, who were also recognized during the presentation.
The visit marked a fitting conclusion to Dame Cynthia’s time in the Turks and Caicos Islands, leaving the congregation with a message of faith, courage, and unwavering commitment to doing what is right. Her brief but meaningful appearance was warmly received by members, followers and visitors of Abundant Life Ministries International, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to welcome the Bahamian Governor-General before her departure.
